Salam…

We are attending 2-days training at OSCC, Cyberjaya, today & tomorrow. I think this is the must-attend training relating to Free and Open Source Software. Educators..this is for you to share and explore the benefits of open source in education. This is part of a series about our migrations (as educators) from proprietary office software (MS Office) to OpenOffice.org. But it’s a pain to switch. Yes. Any change is a pain. Switching from MS Word to Writer is a big pain for most people. It’s part of using computers. Free pun tak mau sebab dah selesa dengan yang berbayar mahal tu :(

After this, I wish to attend another training for OSS, perhaps for Joomla, Linux etc. This is a great opportunity to really find out how much you can benefit, and how much money you can save, by using open source software. And of course to learn enormous amounts about using the software. Lets us support OSS, no more Microsoft products…hihi

As a new semester begins…

p1010260.JPG

There hasn’t been too much going on since the last time I wrote. But we have been very busy during the last four weeks. We had our new student and ta’aruf week, and that was also the time when returning students arrived. Now, we are in the fourth week of classes for all of the students and some lecturers need to have some replacement classes…thats including me of course :) It’s hard to believe that we are already starting the fourth week of the second semester, right? Dengan workshop & course sana-sini…kelas banyak cancel..sorry my students, we might need to have lots of replacement classes later.

I am insanely busy already and loaded down with homework. Bridging programme is about to begin next week…errkkk. Well anyway, I think I’m going to get back to some homework!

Jumpa lagi..sayonara :)
