The most wanted services in IIUM
My Director wrote about “habis laa… ” in his blog. I totally agree with him. The current 140Mbps internet leased line yg ader takkan cukup. But my concern is more on how to control the usage. We need to study the impact of offering free wireless in campus. Gosshhhh….. during the briefing day (in short sem)… I can predict, the campus culture will change soon. Student will bring laptop to class. On the positive side, they browse the online material which is related to the lecture. On the negative side, they doing something else at the back during the class.
Wireless coverage covers most of the place but, where is the socket outlet ! Library has complaint to us…. tapi, I think they should discus this matter with Development division. Mintak tambah more socket outlet kat tepi meja ker…. kat tiang ker…
The wireless services has become the most wanted services in IIUM. Aku tgh image, bila student masuk July nanti… lagi havoc. pergghhh pening lah lepas nie. STAD should give us one briefing session masa ta’aruf. And we want that slot every semester. We need to brief the student about this wireless, the policy, the do and don’t, the enforcement… etc. If not, they will not responsible for using it. It will affect the whole campus network. All will turn slow….
Anyway, thank to our boys who works very hard, shah, syazwan (aku import dari Nilai, kalau bleh nak kasi dia permenant kat gombak jer), zaharman, abg munir, mjohari.
Bayangkan masa short semester dah padat macam. Kalau July nanti, budak-budak yg balik ke campus 4 kali ganda ramai dari skarang. Kitaorg bleh pengsan. Ape-apehal pun… semua student diminta bersabar….
