Malay drama: Al-Kiswah
Islam 1 Comment »I rarely watch Malay movies on TV or the big screen. I admit, I have a bad impression of them. Usually, the stories are just bad and sometimes the acting is not good. But mostly, it’s for the reason that the stories are badly written. Most of these movies don’t have a good “flow” and they’re half-baked as well — as though the writers ran out of ideas how to end the movie, or the writers just don’t know how to pace a good story. If you’ve watched Hongkong movies in the ’90s, you’ll get what I mean (Hongkong movies then were just made up along the way — they film without knowing what will happen next. They just have a vague idea of what they want. I haven’t watched any in a very long time, so I can’t comment). Read the rest of this entry »
